This review would be a bit off my usual sort of thing, but I was really disappointed with this brief fun little comedy called 50 Shades of Grey. It didn’t hold any weight and it wasn’t worth putting about 6 hours of my life into. I see some of the reviews had a better opinion of it, but they held more weight to their views. It’s a quick get to the point movie that goes overboard with the sex. I liked the concept, the ‘old ladies’, it had a great premise. I just expected more out of it.
It was okay but it was just too shallow for my taste. I might put it in my list of movies I should watch again after I’ve seen it a few more times. I do have to say that I liked the cast for this. It looked like it had potential to be good.
I started to watch the Video on my computer at work. After about 15 minutes into the movie I gave up. It was not good. Mainly because it was too much sex and I’m not into that. It doesn’t feel good, it feels forced. If you want to watch something that is all about sex, go out and get a big bunch of condoms and go all around town and jump on women.
Plot: These four women are friends and members of a book club. They are really good friends. They go on long walks together, and relax. Soon into the movie you’ll discover that Jane and Sharon are having trouble with their estranged husbands in divorce court. While Carol is in trouble with her kid because he’s bringing more drugs into their home. Sharon finds out she’s going to lose her job, and earns a new one.
The girls who are friends and are in the book club are Diane, Vivian, Sharon, and Carol. Diane likes to go out with men on the side. Sharon has trouble with her ex. Carol is married but not happy. Vivian is always nice to everyone. They meet for a weekly book club gathering and discuss the new book each month.
