The galaxy you begin your adventure in consists of randomly generated systems prior to the defense mission. Exploration is the main gameplay element and is mainly carried out through scanning the various planets and moons to gather information on the defense of the system and the system itself. The information gathered from these scans can be stored and even traded with other players in the pre-defined federation and empires. In the final mission, you must defend a system that has been invaded. With the right balance of strategy, tactics, and luck, you can hope to win this mission with your federation or empire and its fleet.
Derek Ridler, the developer of Battlevoid and Battlevoid: Airdrop Apocalypse has decided to stop working on Battlevoid for some time now. While the fief is not yet lost, the ownership is still held by Google. It is uncertain whether (or when) it will return to Derek’s home, but in the meantime, he has chosen to focus on some other endeavors.
Battlevoid: Seedfight is an International Space Race style PvP (player vs. player) mode for Battlevoid. It features 8 different player factions (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Black, Orange, Violet, and White) battling it out in a predetermined null (starfield) in some solar system. The arboreal species that won ownership of Earth have apparently won the war for the galaxy, and now, the newly established Arian Empire has the final system to secure and hold. To make life even more difficult, the normal mode features zones (pre-set areas) throughout the solar system, which restrict player movement and prevent ships from flying outside them. This mode is free and can be downloaded at the SEEDSIFTE website .
A single player campaign into a science fiction setting revolving around the exploration and colonization of a futuristic Earth, later known as Earth after a series of disasters left large numbers of people dead or homeless.
