WPA WEP WPA2 CRACKING DICTIONARY WORDLIST
Well, for starters I would not recommend cracking WPA/WPA2 networks with WPS. But if you really need to have WPS, then below is a great dictionary for that. It does it by giving a list of words that are present in the WPA2-PSK Cipher. This list is then used to decrypt the traffic and the frequency of the word is then calculated.
I often see people trying to crack WPA/WPA2 with a dictionary, and this is very very easy. All you need is a dictionary, some time and a powerful computer. The reason is because WPA/WPA2 uses a 6 character password, and since a dictionary attack will cost you time, you might not know what your password is. Thus, you will just need to browse the dictionary for the character in the password. This is much easier than cracking the PSK Cipher, so if you can handle this, you will easily be able to go around cracking passwords. As long as you have a dictionary, this is a no brainer.
OK, the above dictionary cracked the 6 character wpa/wpa2-psk password in just a matter of seconds. But the problem is, you have to crack the wpa/wpa2-psk cipher first. So, how to crack a wpa/wpa2-psk? We will solve that shortly.
Well, one thing you need to know is that that above dictionary is what my buddies call a precomputed dictionary. Simply, its a dictionary that has done it for you before you reach it. This is done in the WPA2-PSK master key. This dictionary will then give a list of all the words in the dictionary. You then start reading through the dictionary till you find the word you are looking for, and when you find it, you just have to press ENTER.
wpa is a much more secure protocol than wep. if a user is not using wpa, then you have a good chance of cracking the passwords using the following method. however, it is important to note that the passwords will be saved to disk, and you will need to save the passwords to a file, in order to crack them later. i have included a small script at the end of the post that will take care of this. iwlist wlan0 scan | grep -v “essid:” | grep -v “no scan results” wpa wep wpa2 cracking dictionary wordlist a wep key is a simple password. the attacker has to brute-force the password in order to gain access to the network. once the key is found, the attacker can use a dictionary to crack the password. we will use the ‘aircrack-ng’ program to attack the password. we will use a wep dictionary, since aircrack-ng has a built-in dictionary. we will also use the standard ‘tcpdump’ tool to capture the packets as they are transmitted between the client and the access point. the ‘tcpdump’ tool is part of the ‘tcpdump’ package. the next step is to crack the password using the wep dictionary. this is done by using the ‘aircrack-ng’ program. the wep dictionary can be found in the ‘aircrack-ng’ package. it is available as /usr/share/wordlists/dict.txt. aircrack-ng -w /usr/share/wordlists/dict.txt -b e8:94:f6:5b:c3:21 /var/www/wlan_crack.cap wpa wep wpa2 cracking dictionary wordlist if successful, the ‘aircrack-ng’ program will create a file containing the wep key, and the program will end. crunching a wordlist of dictionary files is a time consuming process and will take hours or days depending on how long it takes the computer to generate and load the wordlist of files. it is recommended you get a second computer to crunch the wordlist of dictionary files. if you do not have a second computer, you can use a program like vnc2html to view the results of running crunch on a second computer or use the program vnc2html to view the results from crunching a wordlist of dictionary files using a program like vnc2html. 5ec8ef588b
