The movie’s final box office tally was 969,790,442 (US$ 10,184,091). The film eventually sold 1.5 Million DVD and Blu-ray volumes (including home video, rental, and vending). Road to Ninja is the 6th highest-grossing film in the Naruto franchise, only behind Beyond the Spirit World , The Ten-Year War , Lights Out , and The Last: Naruto the Movie .
On August 28, 2012, Studio Pierrot released a trailer and original promo for Road to Ninja on their YouTube channel. This was followed up on October 18, 2012 by a trailer on their official website. Road to Ninja was also included in the Arrow Platinum Edition DVD set, which was released in the UK on October 9, 2012.
Naruto and Sakura meet Tsunade and Shizune, who tell them that a masked man attacked Kumogakure, and killed their jinchriki which Naruto and Sakura believe to have been Tobi. a box office success, the same could be said of naruto: naruto 6 (or naruto: the last movie). for those who have not seen the anime, here is the premise: a mysterious giant spirit called the “tsuchikage” (or “tri-tailed”) is destroying villages, and sasuke and naruto are trying to stop him by sealing the “tsuchikage” away in a cave.
the special effects in the film are spectacular, and the animation is top notch. but the storyline is not as good as its predecessors, and several plot holes in the story line are quite obvious. for example, how is it that the “tsuchikage” was able to come into the village of konoha in one night, and then teleport away again? how is it that the “tsuchikage” was able to destroy everything in a village, but naruto and sasuke were only able to beat him in a one on one fight? and what about the timeline of the story? the first film was made in 2002, and the last film was made in 2010. how is it that the “tsuchikage” was able to destroy the village of konoha and then return to his cave in less than a month?
